About Us

Company

Much Consultant Ltd started in 2014, located in Wellington, New Zealand. The founder is Dr Haran Arampamoorthy, who worked in Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, Road Development Authority in Sri Lanka and Opus International Consultants in New Zealand. He is a Charted Professional Engineer, International Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.

We provide engineering consultant services to our clients including research and development. Our specialised engineering areas are: traffic and transportation, road safety, pavement, water resources development and geotechnical.

Our company is registered in New Zealand and currently we are in discussion to establish collaborated work with our friendly companies throughout India, Australia, Srilanka, Singapore and USA.  We have our own insurance policy.

Director

Our managing director is Dr Haran Arampamoorthy. He holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, ME degree in Water Resources Engineering and PhD in Transportation Engineering. He also has over 20 years of experience in civil and transportation engineering. His experience includes research, practical skills in Pavement Engineering, road construction, maintenance, road safety and transportation studies.

His external activities are:

  1. Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing committee member, Washington D.C., USA.
    Haran’s contributions are: reviewing research papers, identifying new technologies in pavement areas, international practices, networking with colleagues and establishing professional relationships with individuals from other geographical areas and disciplines to broaden knowledge and perspective. Further, contributing to the broader transportation community by sharing information about our organisation’s research results and practice and gaining early awareness of international new research findings as well as the opportunity to encourage new research addressing our problems and advancing new technologies in our practice and finding out others current practice.
  2. Committee member: Strength and deformation characteristic of pavements (AFD 80), TRB

  4. International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering Technical committee, UK: Geo-Mechanics (member and New Zealand representative).
